Outdoor fiber optic cables are made to protect the optical fiber to operate safely in complicated outdoor environment. Most outdoor fiber cables are loose buffer design, with the strengthen member in the middle of the whole cable, the loose tubes surround the central strength member. Inside the loose tube there is waterproof gel filled, whole cable materials used and gels inside cable between the different components (not only inside loose tube) will help make the whole cable resist of water.

These corrugated steel tape armored cables are suitable for installation in aerial or duct environment for long haul communication, LAN, especially suitable for the situation of high requirements to lateral pressure resistance.

Direct Buried

GYTA53 is the steel tape armored outdoor fiber optic cable used for direct buried. These corrugated steel tape and aluminum tape armored and double sheath cables are suitable for installation in harsh environments where mechanical impact on the cable is to be expected.e.g. in direct buried application. They are also suitable for installation in ducts where the rodent resistance is to be expected or the moisture resistance is expected.

Aerial

AP-DB-GYTC8S cables are suitable for installation in aerial environment for long haul communication.It is the typical and popular aerial cable.

Non-Metallic

Fiber optic simplex indoor cable is a cable containing one optical fiber. It is coated with a tough layer of resin which is then surrounded by what is referred to as a jacket layer. As Indoor cable, optical simplex cable is usually enclosed and uses a lightweight plastic cover. Each end of the simplex cable is usually terminated with an optical fiber connector which makes it easier to connect and disconnect the fiber optic simplex cable.GYFTY FRP locates in the center of cores as a non-metallic strength member. The cable tubes, which are filled with filling compound, are stranded around the strength member. Then the aramid yarn is applied over water proof material, the cable is completed with a PE sheath. AP-NM-GYFTY cables are available from 2 cores to 144 cores. It is used in high-voltage area for long distance communications.

Underwater or Directburied

GYTA33 is an underwater use fiber optic cable, it is steel wires armored to be suitable for installation in harsh environment, AP-UW-GYTA33 can also be direct buried underground, and this cable is available from 2cores to 144 cores.
